Design and Configuration of a 0.5T/h Juice Pre-Treatment Line
Raw Fruit Juicing Processing System (0.5T/h)
As the core of the entire pre-treatment line, this system processes fresh fruits into pure, impurity-free primary juice with a designed capacity of 0.5T/h, consisting of key equipment that work together to ensure processing efficiency and juice quality:
• Fruit Sorting Machine: Adopts a lever sorting mechanism to remove unqualified fruits (rotten, moldy, insect-eaten) and impurities (leaves, stones), ensuring raw material purity. Its dimensions are 2000×800×1000mm, with a 600mm width height-adjustable conveyor driven by a 1.5kW motor, enabling flexible adaptation to different fruit types and subsequent equipment heights.
• Fruit Washing Machine: Features height adjustability and variable-frequency speed regulation with GUOMAO gear motors for stable operation. It combines brush cleaning and high-pressure spray nozzles to thoroughly remove surface dust, pesticides, and soil, equipped with a 0.75kW cleaning circulating pump and wastewater circulation tank to save water. The frame is made of 2.0mm side panels and 40×60×1.5mm square tubes, with a 4kW high-pressure air pump and 1.5kW 600mm conveyor; actual dimensions are subject to the final layout.
• Fruit Elevator: Transports cleaned fruits to the pulping and juicing machine, with a 600mm width height-adjustable conveyor driven by a 0.75kW variable-frequency motor (GUOMAO gear motor). Its frame structure is consistent with the washing machine, and dimensions are determined by the on-site layout.
• Pulping and Juicing Machine: With a 0.5T/h capacity and 2900rpm rotation speed, it efficiently crushes fruits and separates juice from pomace. All parts except the transmission are made of SUS304 stainless steel, complying with food hygiene standards and ensuring no secondary pollution.
• Juice Storage Tank: Low-level temporary storage tank, equipped with capacitance signal output for real-time monitoring of juice liquid level, ensuring stable feeding for subsequent processes.
• Screw Pump: Used for stable transportation of juice from the juice storage tank to the vibrating sieve, with stable conveying performance and no damage to juice quality.
• Vibrating Sieve: Equipped with a screen diameter of 1470mm, effective diameter of 1430mm, vibration frequency of 1450 times/minute, and 2.2KW motor, which effectively filters out pomace, fruit seeds and other impurities in the juice to ensure juice clarity.
• Duplex Filter: Used for fine filtration of the juice after vibrating sieve, further removing small impurities and ensuring juice purity, with simple structure and convenient filter element replacement.
• Juice Buffer Tank: 500L capacity, made of SUS304 stainless steel, with dimensions of 1050*610mm, double-layer structure with PU insulation, conical head, top offset vertical stirrer, side feed port, glass tube liquid level gauge, central CIP spray ball, nameplate and digital display thermometer, closed manhole and ladder, four adjustable legs, and float-type liquid level gauge; used for temporary storage of filtered juice and maintaining juice temperature.
• Centrifugal Pump & Self-Priming Pump: Two types of pumps are matched to realize stable transportation of juice between different equipment, with strong adaptability and stable conveying capacity.
• Pasteurizer: 500 L/H processing capacity, with process parameters: 4 °C → 65 °C (homogenization) → 85–95 °C (15 seconds) → 4 °C, which inactivates harmful microorganisms in the juice while retaining the flavor and nutrients of the juice.
• Homogenizer: 500 L/H processing capacity, working pressure of 20MPa, which breaks large particles in the juice into small particles, making the juice texture uniform and stable, and improving the taste of the juice.
Juice Blending and Hot Water System
This module is responsible for formulating juice with consistent taste and supplying process hot water for the entire line, including the following equipment:
• 1000L Hot Water Tank: Made of SUS304 stainless steel, 1700×1500mm in size, with double-layer PU insulation to reduce heat loss. It is equipped with a conical head, glass tube level gauge, digital thermometer, closed manhole, and adjustable legs, ensuring stable hot water supply for cleaning and juice heating.
• 16㎡ Plate Heat Exchanger: Features high heat exchange efficiency, compact structure, and easy cleaning, used for juice heating/cooling and hot water preparation to meet process temperature requirements.
• Mixer: 1T/H processing capacity, specially used for blending primary juice with additives (such as sugar, acid, preservatives, etc.) according to the preset formula, ensuring uniform taste of the blended juice.
• High-Speed Circular Emulsification Tank: 1000L capacity, with insulation function, stirring speed of 2900r/min, equipped with high and low liquid level detection and PT100 temperature sensor; it fully emulsifies the blended juice, breaks large fat globules and protein particles in the juice, and improves the stability and uniformity of the juice.
• 1000L Mixing Tank: SUS304 material, double-layer PU insulation, conical head, offset top agitator, side feed port, glass tube level gauge, CIP spray ball, digital thermometer, closed manhole, adjustable legs, diaphragm and capacitance level sensors, ensuring uniform blending and temporary storage of emulsified juice.
• 120M Duplex Filter: Used for fine filtration of the blended and emulsified juice, removing small impurities and ensuring the purity and clarity of the juice.
UHT Sterilization System
This system inactivates spoilage microorganisms and enzymes to extend juice shelf life while preserving flavor and nutrition, including:
• High-Pressure Homogenizer: 1000L/h capacity, 40MPa working pressure, driven by a variable-frequency motor for flexible adjustment and energy saving.
• UHT Tubular Sterilizer: 1T/h capacity, realizing ultra-high-temperature instantaneous sterilization to ensure juice safety without damaging nutrients.
• Vacuum Degasser: 1000L/h capacity, with automatic level compensation and vacuum negative pressure function, its design capacity is 0.5T/h higher than standard, effectively removing air bubbles in juice to improve stability.
CIP Cleaning System
An integrated CIP system ensures equipment hygiene without disassembly, complying with food safety standards:
• 2T CIP Cleaning Machine: SUS304 tank with 3.0mm thickness, polyurethane insulation, 40㎡ tubular heating unit. It is equipped with 1 CIP process pump, an alkali tank with agitator, digital thermometer, breather valve, sampling valve, shielded visible level gauge, alkali drum, and pneumatic diaphragm pump, controlled by PLC with HMI operation for automated and efficient cleaning cycles. This system avoids manual disassembly and cleaning, reduces labor intensity, and ensures that all equipment meets food hygiene standards, laying a solid foundation for product quality.
