The operation of the labeling machine begins with the infeed starwheel picking up containers and moving them onto the container table. Rotation of the containers commences as they are positioned between the container plates and centering bells.

Next, the speed of the feed roller is adjusted to match the required label length, ensuring continuous web tension. An integrated threading unit guarantees optimal feed of the label material. Within the cutting unit, labels are precisely severed using a combination of PLC commands and servo-motor control to achieve an exact cut-off point.

Subsequently, two narrow strips of hot melt glue are applied to the labels, joining them together. These adhesive strips, administered by a heated glue roller, are placed on both the leading and trailing edges of the labels. The label with the glue strip on its leading edge is then transferred onto the container, facilitating precise label positioning and a secure bond. As the container rotates during label transfer, the labels are tightly affixed. Ensuring proper adhesion, the trailing edge is also glued.
